This Embossed Cup, produced by YZY, utilizes the pre-press embossing technique of the in-mold label to achieve a three-dimensional texture on the cup body, focusing on the commercialization of authorized derivative products. Unlike many other solutions that only aim for visual samples, we adjust the process from three commercial implementation dimensions: supply chain flow, copyright review, and terminal retail loss.
The Embossed Cup manufactured by YZY is constructed with a three-dimensional texture on the label
base material, which is fully covered by PP plastic after injection molding. The three-dimensional effect is an
"internal touch sensation", while the external cup surface remains intact and smooth. When stacked in containers and
repeatedly handled, the relief structure will not be directly rubbed, significantly reducing the scrap rate during
large-scale circulation and suitable for long-distance cross-border shipping and multi-stage distribution B2B trade
scenarios.
Core Business Value
1. Touch sensation hidden design, balancing safety and experience
2. Design-friendly, reducing IP revision costs
3. Process tolerance has been verified through mass production
For texture compensation parameters, even if there are normal fluctuations in equipment during production, the depth
of the embossing in the entire batch of cups will be uniform, and there will be no batch differences where some cups
have very shallow textures and some have overly deep textures.
4. Effects can be freely combined and matched
5. Complete material archives, suitable for IP copyright review
Why choose Zhongyu?
Most processing factories regard embossing IML as a show-off sample process, only pursuing good-looking samples,
while ignoring commercial realities such as large-scale shipping, IP review, and production tolerance.
We have been involved in a large number of IP derivative product projects, familiar with the material, safety, and
durability review standards of overseas copyright holders for derivative product packaging. We intervene in design
reviews at the project's early stage and inform clients which patterns are not suitable for embossing and which
depth of relief is more suitable for injection molding production, avoiding the situation where clients discover
they cannot be mass-produced after finalizing the design.
The embossing layout, printing, and post-processing die-cutting are all completed internally, without transferring
to external outsourcing factories, fully controlling the process parameters; the patent library covers special
texture in-mold forming technology, and can make targeted process adjustments for project difficulties, rather than
only producing according to fixed templates.
Competitor Differentiation
- Compared with post-embossing cups
The post-embossed protrusions are exposed and prone to wear and tear during shipping; this product has a texture
embedded internally, with a smooth outer surface, lower circulation loss, and is more suitable for long-distance
cross-border trade.
- Compared with ordinary flat IML cups
Under the same cup mold conditions, our Embossed Cup adds a tactile selling point, enhancing the retail premium of
derivative products, and does not require changing the injection mold.
- Compared with 3D relief injection cups
The cost of changing the 3D injection mold is extremely high; embossing IML only replaces the label, and the same
set of cup molds can switch between flat, embossed, and special effects, flexibly responding to multiple IPs and
seasonal projects.
