YZY's new Star Pattern Metallized IML features an aluminum foil layer laminated inside the label film, fused into a PP cup during injection molding. YZY has spent the past 18 months developing a new in-mold label that pushes the visual ceiling of what a single-wall PP cup can look like. The result — Star Pattern Metallized IML — is now in mass production.
The construction is a 3-layer laminate:
1. Top film — random micro-embossed geometric facets ("star pattern")
2. Aluminum foil layer — vacuum-deposited, mirrors light at every angle
3. Base film — bonds to the PP cup during injection molding
When injection-molded into a cup, the three layers fuse into a single wall. The aluminum sits inside the structure — protected from scratches, abrasion, and food contact. From the outside, the consumer sees a continuous metallic surface that scatters light like crushed glass or hammered foil.

Three colors are now in mass production. Each is a real customer SKU shipping in 2026:
· Green — fresh tropical cue; deployed for fruit tea and summer SKUs
· Gold — holiday / prestige cue; the most specified variant for Q4 2026 limited editions
· Pink — Y2K / beauty cue; already running with ChaPanda and other top-10 tea chains
The metallic effect is permanent. It does not flake, peel, oxidize, or wash off. It is a structural feature of the cup wall, not a coating.
